Red wine, white wine, rosé wine, and sparkling wine, so many choices are available while I was sitting here with my friends and deciding what to drink. It was my first time to go with them to a club and have a drink. But why only wine, wines always attract me, and the bottle of wine along with its special structured glass gets my whole attention.

I have always been a big fan of women sitting in long red gowns and holding a wine glass very gracefully and talking while fashionably stirring the glass. So I decided to start my journey of growing up with a red wine. I told my friends that I’ll have a red wine all of them looked at me with a shocked look and was fully confused looking at their reaction.

Are you sure, asked one of my friends, I think she is a little confused, said another, I bet you don’t know any other names of the drink said the third one and they all began to laugh at me. I was sitting there dumbfounded. What have I done wrong, I was thinking then suddenly someone said don’t worry about it. I looked up and all of them were looking at me and looked at them like a lost puppy.

It’s fine girl, we are your friends and we care for you said one of them. We know it’s your first time drinking so look for something which has less ABV said another friend smiling at me. Yes, and the best way to start with some cocktails and then they all went and bring some cocktails for me and them as well.

Thank you guys for guiding me in this I said smiling cheekily at them. They all looked at me and started to explain what are the eight things we have to keep in mind whenever we are having a drink with others at a bar or at a party.

1. Don’t start drinking directly instead first eat something then start with your drinks. 2. Choose your drink wisely and according to the situation. 3. Don’t get into peer pressure and take it slow and if you don’t want to drink politely say no to the person. 4. One should avoid taking shots if it’s their first time drinking.
